Hats off to N18 Charity Shave Off

16 Jan 2017

On 7th December 2016 eleven brave employees of Lagan Construction Group working on the N18 project raised thousands of euros by opting to lose their hair.

Held in Oranmore, Galway, the charity ‘shave off’ involved the removal of nine beards and two full heads of hair.

An impressive €4581.61 was raised in aid of Galway Hospice, a well-deserving charity which provides hospice care to people in the advanced stages of a life-limiting illness.

“The shave-off participants and everyone who dug deep into their own pockets to sponsor the event deserve great credit for their tremendous generosity in raising much needed cash for the Galway Hospice. At a time when most people are tightening the purse strings in preparation for Christmas, Lagan staff on the N18 project, most of whom work away from home and are not from the area, have demonstrated their personal affection and support for the community in which they work.”
