Business in the Community (BITC) is a business-led charity focused on promoting responsible business practice. BITC asks their members to work together to transform communities by tackling issues where business can make a real difference. BITC offers businesses practical support to help them to integrate responsible business practices wherever they operate.
Lagan Construction Group has become programme sponsors with Business in the Community (BITC) Employers Forum. The Employers’ Forum has just celebrated a huge milestone, helping over 1,100 long-term unemployed people move into jobs!
In operation for nearly a decade, the Employers’ Forum works with the Employment Services Board and Jobs Assist Centres, who engage with the government and community sectors. Mentors within the Job Assist Centres provide initial guidance, and then with the assistance of the Forum employers’, individuals are helped to prepare for the world of work.
