Project Overview

Facilities Management Northern Ireland - managing over 2000 properties

This contract delivers an innovative ‘end to end’ property management solution throughout Northern Ireland Civil Service Estate. This extends to over 2000 buildings ranging from standard office accommodation to museum, agricultural, industrial and parliamentary facilities.

Prior to the establishment of the ‘Pan-Government Collaborative Framework Agreement’ multiple contracts were awarded for property maintenance work. Our key aim as the contractor was to streamline working practices within DPP and take on the day-to-day planning and organisation of the supply chain which includes up to 50 different companies. We thrive under a challenge. The built environment we service in this contract comprises of

modern purpose built structures, many ‘listed’ buildings of significant social and historical interest, large parkland and public accessible areas. Whether it is old or new, we have it covered with knowledgeable and experienced operatives.

The collaborative contract is used as a demonstration project in Higher Education to demonstrate best practice in the construction industry.

Construction Excellence Northern Ireland (CEni) is part of a UK wide network of regional centres embedded within the School of the Built Environment at the University of Ulster at Jordanstown. They have presented this contract as a case study in their training material and website.
